Choose who earns a service's commission, plus Take it and Done in the team inbox and drop-off times on the calendar
Pay a service's commission to someone other than who performed it, take or finish conversations from the thread, and see each drop-off time on the calendar.
Choose who earns a service's commission
Open a booking and tap a service to see Commission. It starts as Same as staff, so the person who performed the service earns it. Pick another team member and the commission is paid to them instead; the service shows Commission to their name. Payroll and staff settlement follow your choice.
You can change it after the bill is paid: a paid booking's services open with just the Commission field. Changing who earns commission needs edit access to bookings; choosing the team member needs business-wide edit access to payroll.
Number porting asks for the account holder's first and last name
When you move a number to Seglo, the form now asks for the account holder's first name and last name separately, as your current provider records them.
Team inbox: Take it, Change owner and Done
Look after a conversation from the thread
Open a customer conversation and the bar at the top offers what fits it: Take it to look after it yourself, Change owner to hand it to a teammate, and Done when it's finished. Taking a teammate's conversation asks first. To pick up a finished conversation again, use Take it or Change owner. A new message from the customer, including on Messenger or Instagram, reopens it.
Unassigned lists customers waiting on a reply
Unassigned now shows conversations where the customer spoke last, nobody has taken it, and it isn't done. A review request or other automatic message no longer takes a conversation off the list; only a reply from your team does. On mobile, Messages has All, Mine and Unassigned. Finished conversations stay in All and are marked Done.
Mine, Unassigned and the ownership bar appear when Team Inbox is turned on in Settings → Team Inbox.
Any team member can override a booking overlap
When a booking overlaps another or goes past a staff member's workload limit, every team member can now choose Override, including on the Kiosk. Before, only owners and admins could. Pick a reason (Customer request, Staff can fit it in, Walk-in or Other) and it's recorded with the booking.
Drop-off times and pet counts on the calendar
Above the day's calendar, each planned drop-off time shows how many pets have arrived out of how many are due, such as 9:00 2/3. Tap a time to see each pet, their owner and when they arrived, then tap a pet to open the booking.
Hide or show the row under Drop Off in the calendar menu. The choice is kept on each device, so the front desk and your phone can differ.
Roster changes that affect booked appointments
Choose where the affected bookings go
When you change or delete a shift, a regular weekly shift or a whole series and someone is no longer working during hours that have bookings, Seglo lists those bookings before saving. You choose:
- Move to another staff member at that location. Each booking shows who would take it, or that nobody is free and it goes to Unassigned.
- Move to Unassigned, to sort them out yourself.
- Cancel, to leave the roster as it was.
While you edit a regular shift, each affected weekday shows how many bookings it would move, at which location and from which date, before you save.
Bookings stay visible when nobody is rostered
A booking whose staff member has no column at the location you're viewing now shows in the Unassigned panel, marked as not rostered or with the location they're working at, instead of not appearing. A staff member's booking at another location shows faded in their column with that location's name, and can't be dragged.
Kiosk
- Tap a time on the Kiosk calendar and its actions appear right beside it.
- Notifications use the full screen. Waitlist and Price list are in the main navigation, with Forms and Invoices under More.
- Kiosk menus and actions follow your plan and the permissions you've given Kiosk.
Write customer messages in your own words
Settings → Customer Messages lets you rewrite four messages: booking confirmed, appointment reminder, ready for pickup, and the thank-you after a visit. Edit the text message, or the email subject and opening. Add details such as the date, time, service or booking link, check the preview of what the customer receives, and go back to Use Seglo's default at any time.
An edited email keeps the booking details, button and your business details. Client and pet names aren't offered as details, because what's in a client record isn't always what you'd call someone.
Customers aren't addressed by the name on your client record
Many shops type notes like "VIP" into a client's name. Receipts and payment confirmation pages no longer show that name. The AI receptionist greets every caller with your greeting rather than the name on file, and calendar invites attached to customer emails no longer include the client name or appointment notes.
Auto Book says what it will book
If a pet already has a groom booked, Auto Book setup says so: "Lulu already has a groom booked for 4 Nov. Auto Book books the one after it." The status reads Auto Book on · Books the groom after 4 Nov. A booking later than the suggested next groom no longer puts the pet on the follow-up list.
Reuse a pet's recent services in a new appointment
When you add a pet to a new appointment, Seglo shows their recent booking with its services and options. Choose Use these services to fill them in. If a service has changed since, you'll be asked to choose services again.
Early-morning bookings counted on your local day
Some early-morning times were checked against the previous day: in Melbourne or Sydney during daylight saving, anything before 11 am. Available times, closures, reminders that say "today" or "tomorrow", invoice date filters, gift card dates and payroll's "this week" now all use your business's local day.
