Phone app notifications only for calls, Tap to Pay names your device, and the schedule updates the moment a payment lands
The Seglo Phone app now only receives call notifications, Tap to Pay names the phone you are actually holding, and the schedule shows a booking as paid the moment the payment goes through.
Push notifications go to the app that can act on them
The Seglo Phone app only rings for calls
Staff who use the Seglo Phone app no longer receive booking, leave or other business notifications on it — only call activity: missed and declined calls, voicemails and callback requests. Everything else keeps arriving on the business app and the web as before, so nobody loses a notification; the phone app just stops repeating ones it cannot open.
Notifications follow whoever is logged in on the phone
Log in to the same phone as a different person — a staff member after a customer, or the other way round — and notifications switch to the new login. A reinstall does the same. Before this, a phone could keep receiving the previous login's notifications until it was re-registered.
Payments
Tap to Pay names the phone you are holding
An owner taking a payment on an Android phone was told they had used "Tap to Pay on iPhone" — on the paid screen, in the setup prompts, and in the hint about where to hold the card. Every one of those now names the device in your hand, in English and Chinese, and the hint points at the right part of the phone.
The schedule shows a booking as paid the moment the payment goes through
Take a payment from the schedule and close the sheet with the X, and the booking now reads as paid straight away — the Take payment button no longer lingers until you reload. This applies to cash, card, saved card and Tap to Pay alike.
What's Coming
- Integrated EFTPOS terminal payments from the counter checkout
