Send and receive photo messages, rewrite a text with AI, and record a voicemail greeting

Picture messages now send and arrive as one album, staff can have AI rewrite a text in your shop's style, and you can type a voicemail greeting and have it spoken on the line.

Picture messaging

Send several photos in one message

Attach up to ten photos to a text and they go out together as one message, in the order you picked them. Previously the composer took one photo at a time and every extra shot meant another message.

Photos arrive as one album, not scattered messages

A picture message with several photos now lands as a single conversation entry holding all of them. Before, only the first photo made it through and the rest were dropped. Tap the album to open it full screen and swipe between shots.

Long text messages now send

A message longer than a single SMS used to fail silently. It now sends as a multi-part message, and both the web inbox and the phone app show you the segment count as you type, so you can see what a long message will cost before you send it.

iPhone reactions stop arriving as junk messages

When a customer on an iPhone reacts to your text with a thumbs-up or a heart, iOS sends it as a plain message reading Loved "Your appointment is confirmed for 2pm". That used to land as a new unread message, push a notification to every assigned staff phone, and quote your own words back at you. It now shows as a small reaction on the message it refers to, with no notification.

AI help with texting

Rewrite a message in your shop's style

Type what you want to say, tap Rewrite, and the AI rewrites it in your business's tone in a panel where you can edit it before sending. Your draft is never overwritten — close the panel and what you typed is still there. The rewrite comes back in English regardless of what the staff member typed, so it doubles as a translation for a mixed-language team.

The panel shows the segment count and deliberately does not enforce the composer's length limit: a clear three-part message beats a curt one-part message, and that is your staff member's call.

Suggested replies are a tap away, and can be switched off

An AI suggested reply now appears as an unsent bubble in the conversation — tap it to load it into the composer and edit from there. Suggestions also refresh when a new message arrives instead of needing the app restarted. There is one shop-wide switch for the whole feature in Settings.

Suggestions no longer state times or make commitments on your behalf, and no longer treat a staff member's own guesses as facts.

See when a colleague is replying

If someone else is typing a reply in a conversation, you see it — in the web inbox and in the phone app, in the thread and in the conversation list. It stops two people answering the same customer.

Your business phone

Voicemail greeting you type, spoken in a real voice

Write your greeting as text, preview it in a voice, and save. Callers hear it read out. Change the wording any time without recording anything.

One number, separate switches for calls and texts

A phone number now carries its own on/off switch for voice and for messaging instead of one combined setting. A number used only for texting no longer has to accept calls.

Who rings is decided by which shop a staff member works at

Which staff phones ring for an incoming call, and which numbers they can text from, now follow the shop the staff member is assigned to. Previously two different settings could each decide it, which is how a call could ring one phone and skip the rest of the team.

An alert when the last person covering a number switches off

If the last staff member covering a phone number turns it off, the owner gets an email. A number nobody is covering rings nowhere, and that used to be silent.

After-hours settings match everywhere

The after-hours choice reads the same in the web app, the phone app and on the line. "Message Only" is gone and the old "Disabled" option is now named "Same as Business Hours", which is what it always did.

Blocked callers follow the phone number

Blocking now applies to the phone number rather than to one customer record, so the same number saved under two records is blocked either way.

Clearer, steadier staff calls

Calls between the staff app and the phone system now use a better-quality audio codec with gap filling, on outgoing calls as well as incoming. It holds up better when a staff member's connection drops packets.

Voicemails: swipe to mark heard

Swipe an unheard voicemail to the right to mark it heard without playing it.

The incoming call card answers one question

The call card used to show "next appointment" no matter when the customer was calling. It now reflects the actual situation, and shows the pet's photo alongside the name.

Staff hours and payroll

A day can be more than one shift

Clocking out for lunch and back in, or working a split shift, now counts every pair of punches. The pay run previously kept only the first pair of the day and ignored the rest — a kiosk showing 7 hours could pay 3. Hours reporting and the pay run now read from the same calculation, so the two agree.

If a staff member has worked all their planned shifts and clocks in again, the kiosk names it: "has finished today's shift — start an extra one?" with a Start extra shift action.

Rostered hours count for staff who don't clock in

An hourly staff member who is not required to clock in is paid from the roster. Previously a rostered day with no appointments counted as zero.

Worth knowing before your next pay run. Both of the above will move some pay figures upward, because hours that were being missed are now counted. Periods you have already finalised and paid are untouched. Separately, the default clock rounding direction is now "nearest" rather than rounding start times forward and end times back — this only changes businesses still on the original setting, and anyone who set their own rounding is unaffected.

Booking and customers

One question layout for every customer

The questions that price a booking were being asked four different ways depending on whether the customer was new or returning and whether they were on a phone or a desktop. All four are now the same: a list of questions showing the current answer, tap one to change it. A returning customer simply arrives with more of them already filled in.

Optional questions are asked once

A returning customer picking a saved profile is no longer re-asked optional questions they have already answered.

AI notes stop claiming things you never said

A tick box left unticked during booking was being written into the customer's notes as a fact — "Not fully vaccinated." A question that was never answered is now recorded as unanswered.

Client profiles show what was filled in at booking

A customer's profile now displays the answers they gave during booking, rather than keeping them only on the booking itself.

Only your own appointments on the calendar

The mobile calendar's Options sheet has a switch to narrow the day to just your own appointments.

Payments and paperwork

Choose your payment provider

A business can now pick its own payment provider from settings rather than having it set for them.

Tax invoices print the discount

A booking with a discount applied was taking payment correctly but printing an invoice with no sign of the discount. The discount now appears on the invoice.

Receipt and agreement emails

Signed agreement emails now name the service that was agreed to. A batch of receipt and profile emails that were sending correctly but raising a false internal alarm each time have been cleaned up.

Smaller fixes

Booking page

Your public booking page now has its own compact footer instead of Seglo's full marketing footer, and a service with no photo no longer shows a generic placeholder icon.

Team settings

The "Suspend" button, which did not do what its label implied, has been replaced by "Sign out all devices" — which does.

Phone app performance

Typing in a conversation no longer redraws the whole screen, photos in a thread decode at the size they are displayed rather than at full camera resolution, and the photo viewer now swipes properly on Android. Tapping a message notification opens the conversation instead of the keypad. A call banner that has been announced can always be dismissed.
