Seglo Phone calls on your computer, ringing by roster and pricing per number
Make and answer Seglo Phone calls in your browser, ring only the team on shift, and pay for each number by the people who use it.
Seglo Phone calls on your computer
Make and answer calls in the browser
At the desk, you can now take Seglo Phone calls on your computer instead of reaching for your phone. Turn on Browser calls in Settings → Seglo Phone → Devices, allow the microphone, and the browser rings for calls to your lines alongside your phones. An incoming call shows who is calling and which location they rang, with Answer and Decline.
To call out, use New call on Calls, or Call beside a call, a Messages conversation or a client's details. Choose the line to call from, and the customer sees that number. During a call you have Mute, Hold, Keypad and End, and you can pick the microphone and speaker.
It works in Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari on a computer. If this computer won't ring, Calls shows Browser calls off with Turn on.
Choose the ringtone
Under Ringtone in the same place, pick Marimba, Marimba 2, Chime, Soft or Classic, and press Play to hear it first. Marimba is the default. Each computer keeps its own choice.
Ring only the team on shift
In Settings → Seglo Phone → Numbers → Call handling, each location now has Ringing: Everyone or On shift. With On shift, a call rings only the people with Seglo Phone who are on the roster at that location right now. The roster replaces business hours, so the two sections below read Someone on shift and Nobody on shift, and when nobody is rostered the call follows your Nobody on shift choice: the AI receptionist or voicemail.
If nobody is on the roster at all, you see Nobody is on the roster with a link to Schedule. Each number card shows who is Not on shift, who is On shift until a time, and who is next on shift.
A business with only Seglo Phone now has the team roster too, in Team → Schedule on a computer and More → Team on mobile. Staff permissions opens on mobile as well, so you can give a team member the line's location before you roster them.
A second call rings whoever is free
One number no longer takes one call at a time. When someone is already on a call and another caller rings the same number, the call rings the teammates who are free, on their phones and computers. Answer one call and your other ringing calls stop ringing you. When everyone is on a call, the caller goes to the AI receptionist, or to voicemail if you don't have it.
Seglo Phone priced per number
Each number is $79 a month including 2 people who can use it, then $29 a month for each extra person on that number, up to 5 people. Someone who answers two numbers counts on both. Someone who answers only one number is charged on that number only. Each person can still use as many phones and tablets as they like at no extra charge.
With more than one number, Settings → Seglo Phone → Devices lists each number with its location, its people and its own price. When you change where someone works in Team → Staff permissions, you see what it adds or saves, such as Seglo Phone: +$29/month, before you save.
Add people from a number
Add people on a number's card opens the Add Team Member form for that number, with its location already chosen. Pick someone already on your team or add someone new. Whoever you add gets phone access and answers that number, and the form tells you what it adds to your bill first.
Run several businesses on Seglo Phone
Each business in one account keeps its own number, greeting and voicemail. When you set up a number for another business, the ABN you enter stays with that number's location and the location takes that business's trading name. Your account's own name and the ABN on your Seglo invoices stay as they were.
In Team → Staff permissions, a person's locations now include your Seglo Phone lines as well as your shops, so you can choose which numbers ring them.
Missed call text
See which missed calls were texted back
When a caller has been texted back, the missed call notification ends with · Texted back. That call no longer counts in the missed call badge on Calls or on the Seglo Phone app icon, but it stays in your call list.
No text after a pocket dial
A caller who hangs up within 3 seconds isn't texted. The call still shows as missed.
Pet Card questions with the right kind of answer
In Pet Card, New question now sits at the top, so you can write your own question without searching the library first. Choose its Answer type: Short answer, Long answer, Number, Date, Yes / No, Choose one or Choose multiple. Your card preview shows an example answer of that kind.
When your team edits a pet, they can't save while a required question is empty. A No or a zero counts as an answer.
Bundles on a booking
Open a booking with a bundle and the bundle has its own remove: the bin button on a computer, or swipe left on mobile. Removing it takes the bundle and every service in it, and the subtotal, discount and total follow.
A service inside a bundle can't be removed on its own. Change service offers only the other services that bundle includes, and the new one stays in the bundle at $0. Changing the groomer or time of a service inside a bundle also keeps it at $0, with the bundle price unchanged.
Customers moving their own booking
When a customer moves a booking online, their bundles and the services inside them stay on it. The total and any percentage discount follow the new price, and size answers and notes stay. If they remove a bundle while moving, it comes off the booking.
For a booking shared between a groomer and an assistant, both people's time follows the new length. If the new time clashes with another booking, the customer is asked to choose another time.
Also in this update
- Reassigned bookings show once on the calendar. A booking taken off one groomer's roster and given to another from Unassigned shows on the new groomer's row only, with payment, complete and no-show available. Its revenue counts once, and moving it later leaves no leftover card behind.
- Removing an extra room frees it. Moving the booking afterwards no longer says the room is taken, and you can add the room back.
- Leave on the schedule. Removing leave from a leave card works, and so does marking the same day as leave again afterwards. Editing a shift on a day with changed times no longer changes the regular weekly shift.
- Adding a team member needs an email address, on a computer and on mobile, because that is how they are invited.
- Moving your number to Seglo Phone. Your number keeps working on your current phone until the switch. At the switch, allow up to about 30 minutes when calls and texts may not come through.
