Conversation labels, private message photos and separate SMS and MMS limits

Label conversations, get told when a Meta channel disconnects, keep message photos private and send SMS and MMS under separate daily limits.

Label conversations

Click the tag button at the top of a conversation to add or remove labels. Labels show on the conversation in the list and at the top of the chat, and you can filter the list by label, on a computer and on mobile.

Owners and admins create, rename, colour and delete labels from Manage labels in the same menu. Deleting a label takes it off every conversation that has it. Labels stay in Seglo; your clients don't see them.

Know when Instagram, Messenger or WhatsApp disconnects

When a connection drops without anyone disconnecting it, for example because access was removed in Meta or a login expired, the owner and admins who look after that shop get one push notification and one email, such as Instagram is disconnected.

Messages and Settings → Messaging channels show a notice at the top saying messages to that account won't reach Seglo until it's reconnected, with Reconnect underneath. Team members who can't reconnect it see Ask an owner or admin to reconnect it. The notice goes away as soon as you reconnect.

Clients see when you've read their message and when you're typing

On WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger, opening a conversation in Seglo marks the client's latest message as read on their phone. While you type a reply, they see that you're typing. This works inside the channel's 24-hour reply window. Replies from the AI receptionist and your away message don't mark anything as read.

Message photos and voicemail are private

Photos in Messages and voicemail in Calls open and play as before, but they no longer sit at a public web address. A photo address copied out of Seglo stops working after about 10 minutes.

Photo links you text to clients open for 30 days. When a client's chat app shows a preview of the link, the preview shows only the title.

Separate SMS and MMS daily limits

Each Seglo Phone number's daily limit is now two limits: 200 SMS and 50 MMS a day. Settings → Seglo Phone → Numbers shows both under Daily message limits, such as SMS: 12 of 200 sent and MMS: 3 of 50 sent.

Reaching the MMS limit no longer stops your texts, and reaching the SMS limit no longer stops your photos. A higher SMS limit you already had stays. A message sent over the limit stays failed; send it again after the limit resets. Request a higher limit covers both.

Team → Access → Log

Photo and link activity

The log now shows what happens to client photos and file links:

  • File links: who created one, added or removed a file, sent it or stopped sharing it.
  • Client opens: when a client opened a file link or a photo link, on one row with the count, such as Opened 2 times, last 20 Oct, 14:05.
  • Deleted conversations: who deleted it, with how many messages and photos it had.
  • Data exports, and each time Seglo support opened one of your conversations.

Each row says which app it came from, such as Seglo Phone. Filter by Photos and links, Deletions and exports or Seglo support. A private conversation's client is never named in the log, and looking at a photo isn't recorded.

Bookings and Seglo Phone views, and Needs review

If your business has both Bookings and Seglo Phone, the log opens with All, Bookings and Seglo Phone views. Each view shows its own activity, and both show access changes.

Needs review lists blocked attempts and refunds made over the limit or without permission, each with a status badge and the reason. Rows are grouped by day under a date heading, and each sentence starts with who did it. One row of filters sets the result, type, person and date range; on mobile the filters open in a sheet and the ones you've chosen show under the views.
