01 / The empty slot
What do no-shows actually cost you?
A missed appointment can leave paid working time with no sale. Enter your own no-show rate and how often you refill the time to estimate the lost revenue.
Your rate
Out of your own diary, not a benchmark
Your refills
The slots you genuinely fill again
Your loss
In money and in days of the year
The slots that never came back
Your own diary, not an industry figure. The rate starts empty because the only number worth putting there is yours.
For reference only
Zenoti’s 2025 benchmark across more than 30,000 salons in the United States and Canada reports 3 percent no-shows and 8 percent cancellations. Other industry reports span 3 to 25 percent. None of them is your diary.

Waiting on one number
Put your own no-show rate in and the rest follows.
This page will not guess it for you. A rate borrowed from somebody else’s salon produces a loss that belongs to somebody else.
02 / The questions this raises
Answered with your figures, not ours.
- What is a normal no-show rate for a grooming salon?
- Published figures disagree widely, which is why this page asks for yours instead of assuming one. Zenoti's 2025 benchmark across more than 30,000 salons in the United States and Canada reports 3 percent no-shows and 8 percent cancellations; other industry reports span 3 to 25 percent. Your own diary is the only figure worth putting in the field.
- Why does the calculator ask how often I refill the slot?
- A replacement booking recovers revenue from that time. The calculator subtracts refilled slots so it doesn't count every cancellation as a complete loss.
- Does a deposit stop no-shows?
- This page does not claim it does. It shows what a deposit of the size you enter would have held on the bookings you already lose, which is arithmetic rather than a promise.
