Redesigned permission editor splits Messages from Calls, adds a leave notice policy

A redesigned permission editor, split into six groups

Messages and Calls are now separate permissions

Front Desk used to bundle messaging and phone-call access into one permission. They're now split — grant Messages and Calls independently, so someone can see appointment messages without also getting call access, or the other way round.

Checkout has its own Payments permission

Taking payment at checkout used to ride on the general appointment-management permission. It now has its own Payments permission, so you can let someone manage appointments without letting them process payments, or the reverse.

One editor, six groups

The permission editor is now organised into six clear groups — Bookings, Messages, Calls, Payments, Team, Settings — instead of a flat list, so you can see and set every permission at a glance.

Set a minimum notice window before staff can request leave

Choose a notice window per leave type

For each leave type, set how many days' notice staff must give before requesting it. Configure it once from team settings, on desktop or mobile.

Staff see the warning before they submit

A staff member requesting leave inside the notice window sees a warning at the time they request it, not after it's declined.

Leave, easier to manage on mobile

Leave Approvals and My Leave get their own pages

Leave approvals and personal leave are no longer tucked inside the team tab switcher — each now has its own page, reachable from the More tab.

Pending approvals show up where you're already looking

A pending leave-approval count now appears on the More tab badge and in Needs Attention, so managers see it without hunting for it.

One clearer date picker

The mobile leave date picker now leads with leave type first, and no longer resets your selected dates when you edit the reason.

Mark a shift as not working or as leave, without leaving the planner

The base-shift inspector on the planning grid now offers both "not working this day" and "mark as leave" directly, so either one can be recorded on the spot.

Open Team → Permissions to see the redesigned editor, or Team → Leave Settings to set a notice window for any leave type.
