Waitlist requests now carry each dog's full service and price, and customers can book from chat

Waitlist requests keep each dog's service, bundle and groomer, with a firm quote before you accept — and customers can finish a booking in chat.

A waitlist request used to be a time and a rough idea of what the customer wanted. It now carries the whole request — every dog, every service, every add-on — so accepting an offer creates the booking the customer actually asked for.

Waitlist requests keep the full booking, not just a time

Every dog's service, quantity, bundle and groomer is saved

A customer joining your waitlist picks a service for each dog, with quantities, bundles and a preferred groomer, and can add a new dog while they're at it. All of it is stored with the request, so when you send an offer the booking is built from their real choices rather than a guess.

A firm quote before anyone accepts

The customer sees the actual price for their request before they take a slot. If the price has changed since they joined — a different groomer, a different service length — they have to confirm the new figure, so nobody arrives expecting the old total.

Customers can see and cancel their own waitlist requests

Waitlist now has its own page in the customer portal, separate from bookings. Customers can check where they stand and withdraw without phoning you. Your My bookings status filter covers bookings only, so the two lists no longer mix.

Waitlist times read in your shop's timezone

Every request shows the date and time in the business's own timezone, with AM and PM. Requests that span midnight keep both dates, and the date only prints once when the whole window sits on one day. The Choose a Time picker on the admin side now uses the location's real opening hours.

Send Offer is the main action on mobile

Opening a waitlist request on a phone puts Send Offer top right, with Book Now in the overflow menu — the action you take ninety percent of the time is the one under your thumb.

The "View waitlist" button in your email works

Waitlist emails to the business carried a View waitlist button with no link behind it. It now opens the waitlist.

Booking chat finishes the booking

Accept terms, enter a card and confirm without leaving the chat

A customer chatting on your booking page can now complete the whole thing in the conversation — terms, card details, confirmation — and stay in the chat afterwards. Expired time options collapse as the conversation moves on.

The conversation is still there when they come back

Chat history is saved to the customer's account. They can close the tab, sign in later and carry on from where they stopped, or browse an earlier conversation. Signing in mid-conversation resumes the same chat instead of restarting it.

It no longer says a time is unavailable when it isn't

The assistant listed a day's earliest six windows and then treated the last one shown as the last one bookable — telling a customer 3:00 PM was full on a day that took 4:00 PM. It now knows the list was cut short, says so, and looks again when a customer names a later time.

A misspelled breed gets a suggestion, not a list of 71

Customers rarely spell a breed the way your service list does. The assistant now recognises nicknames, abbreviations and common misspellings and proposes the right option, instead of asking the customer to pick from every breed you offer.

Prices come from your real quote

Estimates are checked against the actual pricing result, and answers the customer already gave — including a corrected weight — carry through instead of being asked again. Times read in 12-hour AM/PM throughout.

A blocked number gets a straight answer

If you've blocked a caller, the chat tells them to contact the shop directly instead of looking like it's still taking the booking and failing on the last step.

Chat to book sits beside Book Now

On desktop the chat launcher moved out from under the booking widget into the button row next to Book Now, matching the mobile bar.

Recurring bookings

Set up a series in three choices

Recurring setup is now how often, which dogs, which service — every two, four or six weeks, or a custom interval of 1 to 52 weeks. Nothing is created until you confirm the whole thing.

Reuse the service from a recent booking

Pick a dog and pull the exact service variant and add-on quantities from a completed booking, rather than rebuilding the selection by hand.

Setting up a series from a client's page works

Starting a recurring series from the client detail sheet failed because it had no location attached. It now uses the location you have selected.

Customers manage their arrangements on their own page

Recurring arrangements moved out of the customer's My bookings list onto a dedicated page, grouped by business, with each one-off booking linking back to the series it belongs to.

Client records and settings

Pet parent pages are organised into clear sections

Contact details, stats, pets and forms each have their own heading. Recurring cards separate the interval, the dogs and services, the next visit and the actions; secondary actions moved into a menu. Recent appointments line up by date, service and amount, and a confirmed appointment shows a green badge.

Settings opens as six expanded cards you can search

All 29 settings live on one searchable overview in six groups, no category switching. Columns adapt to the width you have, upgrade-only items say so, and Help centre and Support sit at the bottom of the page.

AI receptionist and phone

Recommend one add-on per booking

A switch under your receptionist settings lets it suggest a single optional add-on when it takes a booking. Off by default for every existing and new receptionist.

Do Not Disturb silences messages too

Do Not Disturb used to stop the ring but let text-message notifications through. Within your quiet window it now holds those back as well — the message still lands in your inbox, it just doesn't make a noise. And a call that rang nobody because everyone was on Do Not Disturb is now reported as a missed call rather than an unreachable device.

Turning Voice off actually takes the line off air

Switching Voice off for a phone number now disconnects the line rather than leaving it registered and silently reachable. A number sharing a connection with another live line is left alone.

Grooming records

Write a note against a body part

Grooming records take a written note per body part, with a summary you can click back into to edit. Selected areas are marked distinctly from ones you've already written up. Records no longer open automatically when you mark a dog ready — the button is there when you want it.

Recurring bookings: fixes added 8 September

A required per-visit question no longer stops every recurring booking

If you marked a per-visit question such as Last groom or Coat condition as required, every recurring series in your business quietly stopped generating bookings, each one showing Pet Details Incomplete with nothing you could do to clear it. Required only applies when a customer is actually asked the question. Unattended recurring bookings now skip it, while any per-visit answer already saved on the series still prices and lengthens the visit as before. Series that were stuck resume on their own — no action needed.

Add-ons chosen for a series stay on every visit

Picking a service from the catalogue when setting up a series dropped the add-ons the customer had chosen from every future booking. The series now carries the pet's answers from their most recent completed visit of the same service, including paid ones. A one-off extra such as de-matting is never turned into a repeating charge, and editing a series no longer erases what it already remembered.

A pet with a missing size goes to the pet's profile, not the slot picker

When a recurring booking couldn't be generated because a pet's profile was missing a detail, it appeared under Find a Time, and every slot you picked failed for the same reason. It now opens the pet's profile so you can fill in what's missing.

The month is shown above the week strip

Choosing a time for a recurring visit shows the month above the week strip, and the month opens the calendar — the same control Book Next already had.

Waitlist

Follow-ups are counted after an offer expires

A manual waitlist entry whose offer had expired dropped out of the badge and the follow-up list, although the customer was still waiting. It is counted again until you send a new offer.

Online booking

Your booking horizon no longer lags local midnight

The furthest bookable day is now extended every hour rather than once a day, so customers in every timezone can book as far ahead as your setting allows from the moment the day rolls over. Pending appointment processing and waitlist expiry sweeps also run more often — every 15 and 10 minutes respectively.

Check the bookings behind your reports

Sales, Appointments, Clients and Team reports now include summaries for your selected period and filters. Open the client or booking behind an insight to check what needs attention.

  • Export all filtered results as CSV or a readable PDF.
  • Save a month-close snapshot so you can return to the figures you reviewed.
  • Check which waiting pets fit available grooming slots in the Capacity report.
  • Open a reporting notification in the correct shop when you manage more than one business.

Finish online booking in the chat

Customers can discuss their pet, choose a service and browse times before signing in at the final review. Pet details, required questions and the confirmation card stay inside the conversation, including on mobile.

For drop-off bookings, reviewing a selected time no longer reports it as taken because of the customer's own temporary hold. The agreed pickup time stays in place when the groom can finish earlier that day.

See the correct balance after a refund

Refund screens now use the latest payment balance, including gift credit. If a refund response is interrupted, recovery guidance helps you check the result and retry the same attempt. Refund accounting also recovers from delivery retries without creating duplicate Xero credit notes.

Pet details are easier to find

Customers now see a clearer pet details card in their booking, with an Add details action and separate sections for each pet. The card disappears once the details are complete.

More complete pet intake for new shops

New shops start with a grooming intake form that asks separately about health conditions, allergies, medication, handling needs, vaccinations and previous grooming experience. Owners can give an explicit answer where a safety detail is needed. Existing shops keep their current forms.

Choose where booking questions appear

Put each question in the booking section that makes sense for your shop, such as Health & handling, Preferences or Add-ons & upgrades. Your choice applies wherever that question is asked. Choose Automatic to return to the usual grouping.
