Moving your data off your old platform
Where the export button hides on the platform you're leaving, what will never come across, and what to send us.
Updated 26 August 2026
Before your clients, their pets, and years of appointment history can land in Seglo, they have to come out of wherever they live now. Every platform puts that button somewhere different, a few make you ask for it, and one or two don't offer it at all. This page tells you which case you're in.
If you're on Square, you can skip all of it. We connect to Square and read your data across directly, so there is nothing to export and nothing to send. See Data import.
Find your platform
Running something else? Pawfinity, PetExec, a desktop system, a shared spreadsheet, a paper diary: Email support@seglo.ai and tell us what you're running. We've brought businesses across from all of those, and a messy spreadsheet still beats retyping three hundred pets by hand.
What we can usually bring across
- clients, with contact details
- pets, with breed, size, and whatever profile fields your old system kept
- past appointment history
- future appointments that haven't happened yet
- services, durations, and prices
- your team
- notes on clients and pets
Not every platform exports all seven. The per-platform pages say what's realistically available on each.
What never comes across
Saved card details. They're encrypted inside whichever platform is holding them, and they can't be exported: Fresha states this outright, and it has held for every business we've moved. Your customers save a card again the first time they pay through Seglo, and that's the whole of it.
Photos and message history are usually stuck too. If either matters to you, say so early rather than after you've closed the old account.
Send us the files
Email whatever you export to support@seglo.ai, from the address on your Seglo account, and tell us which platform it came from. Don't tidy the files up first — column names, blank fields, three files or one, it doesn't matter. We look at what you send and tell you what's missing before you go any further.
Do this while your old account is still open and paid. Exports are much harder to get once a subscription lapses, and some platforms lock you out on the day.
