Data export

Your business data stays yours. Request a copy of your clients, pets, appointments, and service history by email and we'll put it together for you.

Updated 26 August 2026

Your business data stays yours. If you leave Seglo, we'll help you take it with you — and you don't have to be leaving to ask for a copy.

There is no export button in the app today. You email us, we pull the records and send them back to you as spreadsheet files you can open in Excel or Google Sheets, or load into another system.

Who can request it: the business owner.

Ask us for a copy

Email support@seglo.ai from the address you log in with, so we can confirm the request is really yours. Tell us:

  • Your business name.
  • Which records you need, or just say "everything".
  • Where it's going. If you name the platform you're moving to, we can match the file format to what that system can read.

We'll reply with what your export contains and when it will be ready.

Know what comes across

  • Customers — your client list as it stands in Seglo.
  • Customer contact details — names, phone numbers, email addresses, and the address details held on the client record.
  • Pets — every pet profile and the details your profile form captures, such as breed and coat notes.
  • Appointments — past and upcoming bookings with their date, time, service, staff member, and which pet the booking was for.
  • Service history — what each pet had done, and when.

Anything else you need is worth asking about rather than assuming. Payment records, form answers, and appointment photos live in different places in the app, so tell us what you're after and we'll tell you what we can send.

Pull your form answers yourself

Form responses are the one thing you don't have to ask for. Open Clients → Forms, click a form's response count (or View responses in its menu), then Export CSV — every answer, in one spreadsheet. Team members need form download permission to use it, and Seglo records who downloaded what. See Forms for the rest of what the responses page does.

Ask before you delete anything

Deleting a business or your whole account runs immediately, and there is no undo. Client records, appointment history, financial records, and uploaded files all go, and support cannot bring back data you deleted yourself. Request your export, check it, and only then use the Danger Zone — see Account and login settings.

Tips

  • You don't have to be leaving. Owners ask for a copy for their accountant, for a vet clinic they work with, or just to keep a backup of the client list somewhere they control.
  • Ask while your data is still live. An export is a copy of what's in your account at the time we run it, so a lapsed account or a deleted business is not something we can go back and rescue.
  • Moving to another platform? Say so up front. The format that a new system can actually import is not always the tidiest spreadsheet, and it's easier to get right the first time than to redo the file.
  • Data import — the other direction: bringing clients, services, and appointment history in from another platform.
  • Account and login settings — exactly what deleting a business or an account removes.
  • Forms — build forms and export their responses yourself.
  • Client profiles — the pet profiles that come across in an export.
