Notification preferences
Turn off the optional booking, reminder, and offer notifications you don't want — and see why the essential ones (cancellations, receipts) always reach you.

Getting more messages from a business than you want? This is where you switch off the optional ones — a reminder text, a marketing email, a loyalty update — while keeping the messages you actually need. You decide per business and per channel, so you can keep emails but stop texts, or mute one business without touching another.

Turn off the notifications you don't want
Open your Account page and find the Choose your notifications card. It lists the optional notification types as groups — Booking updates, Reminders, Loyalty & rewards, Offers & news, Payment — and under each group a switch for every way you can be reached: Email, SMS (text message), and App.
Switch any one off and you stop getting that type on that channel. Leave Email on for reminders but flip SMS off, for example, and you'll still get an email reminder but no text. Each switch saves on its own the moment you flip it — there's no separate Save button.
Keep the messages that matter
Some notifications never appear in this list, and that's deliberate. The essential messages — a booking cancellation, a payment receipt, and security or account notices — always come through and can't be switched off. You always know if an appointment is called off or a payment went through, no matter what you've muted.
If a group you expected isn't shown, it's because that business doesn't send anything optional in it — you'll only ever receive the essential ones from them.
Manage each business separately
Your choices are saved per business. If you book with more than one business through Seglo, muting reminders for one leaves the others exactly as they were. The card you see is scoped to the business you're viewing, so set each one to suit how often you want to hear from it.
Tips
- Everything off but still getting messages? Those are the essential ones — cancellations, receipts, and security notices always send, by design.
- No switches showing at all? That business only sends essential notifications, so there's nothing optional to turn off.
- Stopped a text but want the heads-up another way? Turn the channel you prefer back on for that group — switching off SMS doesn't switch off email or app alerts unless you turn those off too.
- Texting STOP also works. If a business sends you texts, replying STOP to one stops all texts from that number; START turns them back on. This page is the finer-grained control.
